WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON IN JUNIOR YEAR!
Picture
Students have been asked to look back over their Personality test and Interest Profiler surveys that they completed in MAIA last year, along with the True Colors activity that we did in class in seminar #2 .The Uniquest assignment has them choose three universities for which to do in-depth research.  Students will fill out this DOC as rough work and then complete the assignment. This assignment will be shared with their counselor at the 1 hour meeting in January /February.  We will also discuss the student-led college conference that we will have with parents in the spring.  There will be time in seminars, BUT students will need to spend time on their own as well. The assignment should take approximately 5 hours.

ATTENDANCE POLICY

HS Administrative Assistant’s email address: hs-office@seoulforeign.org

Excessive absences
No student shall receive working levels / completion unless they attend 90% of each individual class periods in session each semester.  Students receive the mark of "FA" if they don't meet the 90% attendance requirements at the end of the semester.  A value of 0% is computed into the GPA for the mark of FA

Please refer to the Student Handbook for details regarding 'excused' and 'unexcused' absences.

Students must make arrangements to do all the work missed during their absence. This is the student's responsibility. The due date for all makeup work for planned excused absences will coincide with their return to school.  Please note that this applies to ALL planned absences, including Family Travel, school-sponsored sports, MUN or performing arts trips.

FAMILY TRAVEL
With a desire to support special family/student circumstances, SFHS allows a maximum of five (5) school days for ‘excused absence due to family travel’ with the option of making up work for grades.

Please note that no family travel will be allowed during Discovery Week.

Please email Mrs.Koh, the HS Administrative Assistant, regarding upcoming family travel.
